If the Divine Intelligence in this universe actually inspired a book, it would be the most loving, kind, serene, and peaceful book you ever read. There would be no murders, no wars, no infanticide, no homophobia, no enslavement, no genocide, no favorites or chosen people, and no denigration of women. ~ taskeinc

Fables and Contradictions in the Bible

Research and review the biblical stories below. Read the passages objectively, with an open mind, if you can. Do you still believe these would actually be words inspired by a loving Creator?
  • Genesis 5:21-24 - When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Enoch is a character that appears in the Book of Genesis and a figure in the Generations of Adam. Enoch is described as the great grandson (x4) of Adam, through Seth (Genesis 5:3-18), the son of Jared, the father of Methuselah, and the great-grandfather of Noah.

  •  Joshua 10:13 - And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

  • 1 Samuel 15:3 - Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey

  • Judges 19:22-29 - While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, “Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him.” The owner of the house went outside and said to them, “No, my friends, don’t be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don’t do this outrageous thing. 24Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But as for this man, don’t do such an outrageous thing.” But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight.
When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine*, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home. When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel.
