Freelance Article Writing
The going rate for freelance article writers
(without professional credentials) is about $5 bucks for a 500-word article.
To say it's not worth the effort is an understatement, not to mention the fact that after researching and writing the article, it may not be approved. Therefore, you've blown a good deal of time. You can make the necessary corrections and resubmit the article, but you're
still at the mercy of the site owner who either chooses to pay you or not.
I've been writing articles online for the past 10-15 years and there is only one site that paid really good money and that site was EHow.com. All the other writing sites I've been affiliated with, pay
little to nothing. The opportunity to make money exist with Squidoo, Hubpages, and Yahoo Contributor, but before you will see any decent cash, you'll need at least 300 articles and your top 20 need to be promoted heavily. At one point I was making about $600 per month writing
for one company. I created an excel spreadsheet to chart the success of my articles, and the majority of what I made monthly, out of 370 articles on one site, came from about 20 articles.
What I'm doing now is creating my own blogs, and placing banner and contextual
advertising throughout the blogs. This way, you cut out the middleman and you can write about whatever you want, as long as it's not x-rated
material. Proofread every article, make sure it is professionally written, with limited typos and no grammatical errors.
self-publishing your own blog/website, with your own articles, will create a plethora of income streams for you. Join affiliate networks like Commission Junction and LinkShare, and sign up with companies like Walmart, Amazon.com, Vista Print (free business cards and 250 for $10 is
a great deal and easy to promote), Comp USA, and many others. Whatever you write about, join an affiliate program that would allow you to incorporate related advertising into your article. This is what I call, "subtle advertising" because your readers, if they are interested in the
message of your article, they may very well be interested in what you're selling.
Once you get the visitors, the floodgates will open. That's the key to your success, getting people to visit your blog. This is the "advantage" that the more popular writing sites have over
an independent article writer, the fact that they can get your article read by many more people. However, considering the fact that they take their cut off the top (and some take more than their fair share), you come out much better by promoting your own work, from your own website.
I've written two articles: Unique Traffic and Improve Writing, both will help you to promote your articles, and create professional
content. Study both articles, and you'll be well on your way to making good money writing on the Internet.
The Successful Web Marketer
Internet or Web Marketing is one of the most esoteric jobs on the Information Superhighway. Like Attorneys in the real world, Internet Marketers are a dime a dozen in the Virtual world.
The serious players on the web, who have actually quit their day jobs, are few and far in between.
Look in the phone book and you will see thousands of attorneys in one specific area. Browse the Internet and you will come across thousands of Web Marketers, all with their own specific pitch, all promising you a lucrative monthly salary that will give you the opportunity to purchase yachts, luxury cars, and fabulous homes.
Nothing could be further from the truth. You can be a monumental success at Internet Marketing but you're going to work like you never have before to realize the type of success that it can bring.
You'll work twice as hard as you did when you worked in corporate America. The major difference is you will enjoy what you are doing therefore it won't seem like work. If, early on, you find that you are not having fun with your efforts then get out of the business now. Internet Marketing is not a chore or task, it's an affinity. It has to be because you will find yourself tweaking, and working on your network at un-Godly hours. For example, it's 2:10am as I type this Hub. I'm tired, my eyelids are heavy, but I really want to finish what I am doing because I'm looking forward to the finished product. And yes, writing on the Web will be a vital part of your online success especially in the area of promotion and marketing.
How to Choose the Best Online Business
The Internet is saturated with business opportunities. From selling your own products, selling products for companies through affiliate advertising, AdSense, Contextual Advertising, Multi-Level Marketing, and a host of other opportunities to make money online. But how do you choose the best online business opportunity for you? How do you sift through and separate the "wheat from the chaff?" Follow the steps in this article to get some sort of direction that will assist you in making your decision.
The first thing you must get into your head before you start looking for online opportunities is that there are no shortcuts. Drop the notion of getting rich over night. It's not going to happen unless you win the lotto, and that has nothing to do with the Internet.
Analyze your strengths and weaknesses and use the results to determine your starting point. Whatever it is you like to do, for the most part, you can make money on the Internet. If you're an artist, for example, you could easily sell your art over the Internet. It doesn't matter what you like to do, 99% of the time you can turn your passion into cash utilizing the Internet. This is easily done because the Internet puts you in the position to meet myriad people; people that you otherwise would not meet.
Pay-Per-Call is performance-based advertising that tracks calls like clicks.
The CJ PayPerCall program is specifically designed for affiliate marketing.
It allows advertisers to create campaigns that connect customers to their business by phone. It allows publishers to promote offers using unique,
trackable toll-free numbers so they can be paid for the calls they generate.
For publishers and advertisers alike, it’s been hard to track leads when people browse online but buy offline. As a result, advertisers are less
willing to use affiliate programs for high ticket, more consultative products and services; publishers are afraid they may be losing credit
for genuine leads when a consumer picks up the phone. Commission Junction’s new pay-per-call platform provides the capability to track
these leads when they do choose to call an advertiser instead of clicking
on a link. Advertisers can more effectively leverage their affiliate programs by offering a greater variety of products and services, and
more precisely tracking the referral of business. Additionally, publishers are now assured that they receive credit for every lead they generate,
and can now utilize promotional methods that were previously not feasible in the affiliate channel.

Contextual advertising is a link or banner on
your page that is advertising something that is related to the content of your Blog
or website. Inline ads are the highlighted words that appear within your text.
For example, once I finish writing this particular article, there will be a few
inline ads that will appear.
Here's how you can take advantage of contextual advertising and inline ads for
your website or Blog.
Sign up for a couple of Contextual ad Programs. You do not want to sign up for
more than two because some ad networks do not allow advertising from competing
Google Adsense is by far the largest and most popular of the contextual ad
programs, but there are others. Google has a very strict policy of you NOT
promoting, clicking on, or telling others to click on your ads in any way,
shape, or form. You will quickly be banned for life if you do not adhere to
their strict guidelines. Guidelines which can be somewhat confusing to the
novice. If Google suspects that your clicks are not legitimate your account is
terminated and trying to appeal to the Internet Giant for reinstatement is
futile. There are other ad programs however, so if Google gives you the
boot, or does not accept you, here is a list of other ad programs:
Create a Productive and Profitable Blog
Creating a busy, productive, and user friendly blog is a great way to generate additional income and have fun while doing so. There are millions of blogs on the Internet but truth be told, most are just taking up bandwidth. Blogs are free, and anyone can design and maintain a blog. The blog templates are offered immediately after you sign up. However, if you want a revenue producing
Blog you might want to follow these steps.
Sign up with one of the top blogging communities such as Blogger, WordPad, LiveJournal, and a few others, but make sure the Blog Community you choose is ranked in the top 100 of Alexa Rankings.
Don't use the templates that are offered by the Blog you choose, those templates are too plain and your blog will look too much like any other blog out there. You want your blog to stand out, and you also want your blog to look more like a website and not just your typical blog.
Join a couple of Contextual Ad companies, which are free, such as Google Adsense,
Ads, and Kontera Ads. There are many others but for starters just focus on the aforementioned three. Once you place the html code for the programs on your blog every word you type has the potential to make you money.
Sign up for as many Affiliate Programs as you can but make sure the program that you place on your blog has something to do with the article you write on your blog. Make sure all your Affiliates are in line, or have a similar theme of your blog.
Link to other blogs inside and outside of your blogging community. You can link to any blog simply by commenting on one of their articles. Don't
overdue it by trying to advertise your Blog or website in your answer because it's unnecessary. Just comment on whatever they are blogging about and your comment alone will provide others with a way to get to your
Blog. As you comment on more and more Blogs you are basically planting seeds that will allow your
Blog to multiply and grow. As you get more visitors to your blog your revenue generated will continue to grow.

your own Business Plan
If you are in business for yourself or plan to go into business in the near future its imperative that you purchase
Software, or at least a
plan template to write your own. This will save you thousands of dollars and also allow you to earn much needed revenue for your upstart business.
It's a known fact that more than 80% of businesses lose money in their first 2-3 years of operation. Part of the reason for this is the start-up cost. Included in your initial investment is either someone writing your professional business plan for $3 to $5k, or you will write your own. Writing your own Business Plan without professional software, will cost you even more in lost earnings and from personal experience, this is a no-win situation. Furthermore, trying to cut cost by allowing someone else to write your BP is an exercise in futility. Why? Because you will have to tweak your BP several times, in most cases, and whoever writes your plan will not appreciate having to correct it over and over again. They will make enhancements but will charge you more money every time.
One of the primary purposes for writing your Business Plan is to try to
secure grants and funding for your business. The BP Software makes this as simple as 1-2-3. You won't need a Grant Writer, all you need is to find out what companies or organizations are funding the grant, find out their guidelines and stipulations and enter that information into the BP software. In an hour or less (especially if you have all your numbers) you will have a professional Business Plan and be well on your way to securing the cash you need to get your business successfully off the ground.
The software allows you to save your Business Plan in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF
and is the preferred format of lenders, investors, and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Saving your BP to PowerPoint allows you to create a slide show that gives you the opportunity to present your Business Plan like a polished professional. You can practice any number of times in front of friends, colleagues, or at your local Toastmasters to polish up on your delivery. When perfected, your production will be so smooth and flawless; you will walk out the door with the grant money in your attaché case.
All for less than $100!
Making Money Online
Making money on the Internet is like panning for
gold: Your fortune can be made instantly, or you can spend a lifetime chasing
the dream. Had a goldpanner in the late 1800s known what we know about the
Internet today, he would have realized that directly panning for gold to feed
his family wasn't his only income opportunity. For example, he could have
also rented his spot on the creek, or sold drinking water to other panners, or
taught beginners his secrets of gold-panning for a small fee. And after he
had a proven claim, he could have recruited others to pan for him or pay others
to sell usage of his claim.
When you think of making money from the Internet,
what's the first thing that comes to mind? Selling your own product
through your Web site is probably at the top of the list. Or, maybe you
offer a service and want people to pay online so you can help them. Both
of those, of course, are relevant ways to make a sale on the Internet - but
there are several others.
Of the many ways to make money by using the
Internet, they all fall into three main categories:
Work Home Union gives you all the information you
need to be successful online and it's all free. Your biggest investment is
time, persistence, and consistency.
